Cop charged for beating wife

This led to an investigation led by ACP Harrikrishen Baldeo and including ASP Renwick, Sgt Daniel and Sgt Rullock. On Wednesday, the officer who is 35-years-old was arrested and taken to the Port-of- Spain based office of the Bureau where he was questioned and then placed on an Identification Parade where he was pointed out. As a result, Sgt Rullock sought advice from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and was told to proceed with a criminal charge.

He formally charged the officer with assault by beating and proceeding via a summons, the Constable will appear before a Chaguanas magistrate on November 16.
