ODPM offers Divali safety tips

The ODPM said in a release that statistics indicate an increased risk of fire and injuries at the time of Divali due to the unsupervised lighting of deeyas, candles and fireworks.

Due to the use of fire crackers , the ODPM is advising that preparations be made for persons with special needs and pets, and to be sensitive to neighbours, especially elderly persons and individuals with heart conditions.
