Mentally ill woman kills man, 74

According to reports, a relative heard screams coming from Marshall’s Fifth Street Extension, Oropune Gardens home in Arouca. When the relative went to investigate, they saw Marshall bleeding from the wound and the female relative standing nearby with a large kitchen knife covered in blood. The police and emergency health services were called but Marshall died on the scene.

Heavily armed police and investigators swarmed the home and the suspect was detained by the police.

Up to press time, it was not said if the homicide would be classified as a murder.
