Joseph leads local table tennis body
In his opening address, Joseph who is a former member of the executive, head coach of Arima Hawks and longtime servant of the sport, said, “I extend the olive branch to all, come on board and help us take the sports into a new realm.” He then stated his theme “Love All” which means all hands on deck as well as 0-0 with everyone starting with a clean slate.
There is a good balance of representation of all the zones in the Executive who will be serving for two years. There are three North Zone members, two each from South and East and one apiece from Caroni and Tobago.
Returning members include Simon Spicer, Ray Fermin, Janice Lewis, Sarita Maharaj and Clive Ramsingh while new nominees are Aleena Edwards, Verna Edwards and Sherdon Pierre.

Short term plans:
(1) Re-branding of the image of table tennis
(2) Create a template for National Tournaments
(3) Seek sponsorship for all National Tournaments
(4) Increase the prize monies
(5) Create an atmosphere of inclusiveness
(6) Create more Club and Zonal Tournaments
(7) Provide stipends to National Senior Players
Medium term plans:
(1) Create a development plan that includes all Primary Schools
(2) To increase the number of persons playing table tennis - recreationally and competitively (3) Empower all our Coaches to be involved in Developmental Programmes
(4) Hire an overseas Technical Director to develop a comprehensive programme for Primary School Training with the view of creating future Olympians
Long term plans:
(1) To have a table tennis home
(2) To be the sport of choice for all persons in society
