Easier getting to the moon than to Tobago

For years I have been hearing statements like, “Boy, you lucky to get on.” A direct flight to Timbuktu and a rocket to the moon might be easier options.

However, the sheer beauty of the place is worth the extra wear and tear on your nervous system.

What is not so good is the feeling that extra obstacles now appear to be in the way of viable transportation.

What is a bit unpalatable is the feeling that a few Tobagonians would rather cut off their noses by being unreasonable about the facts and figures surrounding the outgoing cargo and transportation vessel.

We are a few days away from the Tobago Jazz Festival. I am presuming that hotels and holiday house rentals have been booked and paid for.

Tickets would have been on sale for the various shows and along comes the little man with the over large ego saying boycott the Jazz Festival.

The Minority Leader of the Tobago House of Assembly comes up with a minority idea to make himself look powerful as his comrade in Trinidad.

Is he saying visitors and participants could take their Jazz Festival and go? Because there is the word “powerful” and then there is the expression “powerful stupid.” Why must it be the person hoping to make an extra dollar the one to lose? LYNETTE JOSEPH Diego Martin
