Man charged with rape

On April 9, George appeared before a magistrate who fixed bail at $150,000 with a surety.

The charges alleged that on August 15, 2016 and on April 5, George allegedly raped the child.

Yesterday, he returned to court and stood before Senior Magistrate Cherril-Anne Antoine and his attorney Abigail Roach, who held for attorney Criston Williams, asked for bail to be reduced.

Magistrate Antoine granted the attorney’s request and ordered George pay a cash alternative of $30,000 as bail. He was ordered to abide by the order of the previous magistrate that he is to have no direct or indirect contact whatsoever with the victim and to stay 100 feet away from her. The case was adjourned to June 5.
