KFC murder victim shot 8 times

He was shot in the chest and stomach, an autopsy done yesterday, revealed .

Forensic Pathologist Dr Valery Alexandrov performed the autopsy at the Forensic Science Centre in St James. A single bullet remained lodged in the abdomen of Suya which was removed during yesterday’s autopsy with all of the other bullets, entering and exiting his body. Yesterday, common-law wife Nashama Cunin went to the Centre and positively identified his body .

Yesterday, the KFC branch where Suya was killed, was opened open for business as normal. Workers refused to speak on the issue when approached by Newsday. According to reports, at about 9.30 pm, Suya went to the outlet to purchase fried chicken when he was accosted by three men in full view of workers and patrons .

He was shot several times by one of the men, with all three then fleeing from the restaurant .

The gunman returned, stood over Suya and shot him several times before leaving in a car parked nearby .

Investigators have since contacted officials at Prestige Holdings, local holders of the KFC franchise, to secure closed-circuit television (CCTV) video footage in an effort to identify the killer and his accomplices .

Suya was originally from Building Five in Maloney but last lived at Harracksingh Trace, Madras Road in Cunupia with Cumin .
