SWRHA gets new Ag CEO

“Please be informed that with immediate effect, Mrs Gail Miller-Meade has been appointed Ag Chief Executive Officer of the South-West Regional Health Authority until further notice. Kindly extend all courtesies to Mrs Gail Miller-Meade as she interacts with you in the performance of her duties.” Miller-Meade is the SWRHA’s General Manager, Finance & Supply Chain. In May 2016, previous CEO, Anil Gosine was suspended for a two-week period by Chairman Sinanan. Miller-Meade had also been appointed to the acting CEO’s position on that occasion.

Efforts were made to reach both Gosine and Sinanan by telephone but were unsuccessful while the SWRHA PBX telephone system did not seem to be operational. According to RHA regulations, the board may terminate the appointment of a CEO by giving him/her three months notice in writing or paying three months salary in lieu thereof.
