Cabo Star sails, so what’s the next complaint?

Complaining is what we do best.

There is a full-page advertisement in a Sunday paper that obliquely tells me that I am unaware of how rich the founder and seemingly only member of Fixin’ TT might be. D emonising the Prime Minister and his two most recent Transport Ministers over the past sea bridge woes, Kirk Waite might be disappointed that the Tobago business owners now appear hopeful for plain sailing with the Cabo Star.

Because I am a dedicated conspiracy theorist at heart, a jaded personality at best, and a cynic to the core, I expect the Minority Leader of the Tobago House of Assembly to find fault with this vessel having its own cleaning and maintenance crews.

Excuse me please, but I do not trust my own people not to sabotage these engines just for the sake of political mileage. With 24/7, 365-day close monitoring throughout, I am expecting this vessel to move between Tobago and Trinidad hampered only by bad weather.

There will be something very wrong with our security services if something untoward happens to this vessel in the short space of a one-year contract.

For all who find the rent excessive, a cargo vessel was urgently needed because the TT business community was crying copious amounts of blood mixed with tears.

So, what next is there to complain about? Can we move on please?
