Two men nursing chop wounds

Police said the two were at the Punishers Bar in Princes Town when a man entered the bar with a cutlass at about 2.30 am.

Eye witnesses told the police patrons began screaming and many of them scampered for safety.

Marcano was chopped on the back, legs and hands. Video footage from a CCTV camera, which has been posted on social media, shows Marcano attempting to run from the attacker who followed him and continued chopping him repeatedly. A bleeding Marcano slumped to the ground. The attacker then began chopping Ellis. He was chopped on both hands, abdomen and back. Both victims were rushed to the Princes Town Health Facility and later transferred to the San Fernando General Hospital where they underwent emergency surgery and were treated and discharged.
