Best Village begins with drama

Written and produced by Taran Bickram, the play ‘Contentment is Happiness’ told the story of a man named Dhal Bojan (played by Dylon Kurjah) who settled to living a poor life. His wife Ricey Bojan (Cindy Narace Bickram) was influenced by the neighbours to find ways in which to make money.

Dhal left Trinidad in search of a better life in the USA where he worked and sent money to his wife and children. His wife Ricey now being left alone struck up an affair with a rich man so that she could live the good life.

This is a first for the Freeport based Three Roads Youth Group at the Best Village Competition stage. This drama production was well received by the audience. The group, ‘I See You’, was supposed to perform Monday night but was a no-show. Best Village continues tonight with Soul Oasis Cultural Ambassador and Ah We People Theatrical Horizon. Tomorrow, the Princes Town Theatre Workshop will go up against Bon Bassa Cultural Group. The Best Village competition runs until Sunday.
