Man charged in stomping murder

Kareem Richardson, 20, of Beetham Gardens, Port-of-Spain Spain, also faced charges of possession of a firearm and ammunition, when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Indrani Cedeno in the Tunapuna First Magistrate’s Court.

The matter was adjourned to August 14.

The victim, Akino Thomas, was at Pentecostal Road, Tunapuna on July 27 when he was shot at by two armed men.

He was hit in the thigh and fell into a drain, as a result of the injury.

He was taken to hospital but died the next day.
