Resign over a boat?

A boat was ordered (in great, great desperation) but said boat did not arrive on time. The contract was cancelled because of shall we say, ‘unforeseen circumstances’.

Suddenly this is a scandal of such vast proportions that everybody in sight must resign. Resign over a boat, when nobody resigned over a whole airport? Or a fire truck that cost millions to be brought up a cliff? I am running out of pop corn and my Johnny Walker double black needs some ice cubes and some chaser.

I do not believe that I am hearing the words ‘Fresh jokes from the Banana Republic’ being whispered.

Then somebody said that some idle person alleges the people in Tobago will have to swim to Trinidad.

Please, anybody...the ice cubes.
