Brass 2 the World releases new songs

The band recently launched its new release in Montreal, Canada called Caribbean Vibrations, and is now ready to introduce it to the Caribbean.

Band manager, Burt Marcellin said the band was sought out by the Montreal Carnival Foundation to play in some of the major Carnival events in Canada and the US. “Our first performance was hosted by The Montreal Carnival Foundation ‘We Jammin Still’. The promotion for this event was featured on radio programmes in Canada and included interviews with Brass 2 The World. It was a fantastic opportunity to get the rhythm of Trinidad and Tobago music out there,” Marcellin said.

One of the main features of the band is a live four-piece horn section, accompanied by frontline performers.

Though B2W was adjudged Best Playing Brass Band on the Road 2K17, Marcellin said: “It’s been a challenging and exciting year for us. But the response to our live brass band has simply blown us away! Over the past year we have been fortunate to partner with K2K Alliance for Carnival 2017 and provided live music for masquerades and patrons alike. It was a very successful venture which opened up international doors for us.

Having celebrated the first year of the band officially known as Brass 2 The World, next up is a trip to the USA this month, where we are scheduled to perform at Boston Carnival.” The event begins at 6 pm at the temporary Uppa Level with karaoke.
