Mom of two dies from stab wound
A 40-year-old mother of two became the country’s 176th murder vivtim for the year, when she succumbed to stab wounds at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital. Reports revealed that around 6 am yesterday, Annmarie Mark was at her Factory Road, Diego Martin home, when she had an argument with a man known to her. The man allegedly stabbed Mark once in the chest and then fled the scene. She was rushed to hospital by a neighbour and died around 6.45 am. The stab wound punctured her heart. When Sunday Newsday visited the scene of the stabbing death neighbours said that Mark had been complaining of threats. A 44-year-old man who is being sought by the police in connection with the murder has gone into hiding.
