CJ nostalgic over certificate

CHIEF JUSTICE Satnarine Sharma on Friday received his computer-generated birth certificate from Legal Affairs Minister Camille Robinson-Regis during a simple ceremony at the Hall of Justice. Reflecting upon the significance of the occasion, CJ Sharma said that as a young man, his first job was writing birth, marriage and death certificates at the Registrar General’s Department. Sharma expressed his pleasure at the fact that these certificates are now computer-generated and that this has been achieved in his lifetime. He commended the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the staff of the Registrar General’s Department on their achievement in this regard.
