No bail for man who shot girl

SHELDON Dyette was denied bail yesterday as he appeared before acting Deputy Chief Magistrate Mark Wellington in the San Fernando First Court, charged with attempted murder.

According to reports, 18-year-old Candy Henry was shot in her abdomen while standing with friends at the corner of Thomas Street, San Fernando, last Friday around 10.45 pm.. Henry was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital and is still hospitalised. Investigations were conducted by PC Richard Smith of the San Fernando CID, who arrested the accused on Saturday in St Mary’s, Freeport. Dyette  is due to reappear in court on  October 14.
