Pensioner dies after no food, water
A 79-YEAR-OLD pensioner, who went without food and water for two days after collapsing in his garden, died while being transported to hospital, minutes after he was found on Sunday morning.
Euclin Ottley of Foyer Street, La Brea, passed away in an Emergency Health Services (EHS) ambulance which was taking him to the San Fernando General Hospital. Investigators said the pensioner, who lived alone, was last seen alive by relatives on Friday, as he left his home to go to his garden. He was found by his neighbour, Raymond Gregory, around 6 am, on Sunday. Ottley was reportedly found in a very weak state and was barely able to speak. Investigators are awaiting the results of an autopsy today to determine the cause of death. La Brea police are continuing investigations.
