Correct Time Spans Of Day
THE EDITOR: Have you noticed how many of our so called radio and television announcers/presenters cannot differentiate the time spans in a day? They say “good afternoon for good night,” “good evening for good afternoon,” surely there are managers in these stations who listen to what goes out on the air. Well in case there are not, here are some simple guide lines to follow: From midnight to 12 noon (midday) would be “good morning.” From one minute after noon to six pm would be “good afternoon” and from one minute after six pm to midnight would be “good evening;” and when you see a person for the last time in the evening, you would say “good night.” And now say “good morning’ since the newspaper is probably the first thing you see at the start of a new day.
