Now Carla leaves TV6

The CCN group of companies is now without longstanding news anchor, Carla Foderingham, who yesterday is said to have tendered her resignation following failed negotiations for a new contract.

Unconfirmed reports state Foderingham was asked by the company to leave her fulltime job at TIDCO to take up a permanent position at CCN. However, this position did not include any benefits, including a proper salary. As a result, Foderinghan is said to have rejected the proposal, tendering  her resignation with immediate effect. But news also reaching Newsday state that blame was cast on the news anchor for Monday night’s foiled newscast, in which TV6 failed to highlight the top story of the day, the 2004 Budget. Foderingham is the latest to have left the TV6 newsroom since Natalie Williams was brought on as Head of News in May. Her resignation brings to date 15 in the last four months. Other prominent persons such as news anchor Odeka O’Neil and Sunil Ramdeen have also left TV6. When Newsday attempted to contact TV6’s Head of News Natalie Williams and CCN’s CEO, Craig Reynald, we were told they were all in a meeting. All calls to Foderingham also went unanswered. Roger Sant anchored the TV6 News last night.
