Crabs held by Bulls in East League Cup

CLEVON RAPHAEL scored a hat-trick for Crab Connection to clutch a 3-3 draw with high-flying Hearty Foods Bulls when League Cup action got underway in the Eastern Football Association. Junior Pamponette got a double in Wednesday’s game at the Arima Municipal Stadium, and Larry Raymond the other goal for the Bulls. The teams meet again on Tuesday at St Joseph Recreation ground in the second-leg. But TSTT dumped WASA Clean and White 2-0 on a double by Libert “Black Boy” Duncan at Valsayn ground.  Second-leg in this game will be at WASA’s St Joseph ground also on Tuesday.

Police scrambled a 1-0 victory over lowly East/West Coaching School at Five Rivers, Arouca on a Dexter Cyrus goal. Carib FC smashed Delta Glass Young Hearts 4-2 at St Augustine ground on goals by Maurice Simpson, Tennessee Ragoonath, Gellkineau Gill and Billy Dee Scanterbury.  Roger Phillip got both for the losers. League leaders Samba Xtra Malt East San Juan United won a goalfest with BM Spurs 7-3 at Aranguez Savannah. Wendell Isaac scored three, Kerwyn Patrick two and Dexter Joslyn and Allan Sorzano one easch for United, while Britto Reyes and Curtis Gomez got goals for Spurs.
