Dad dies after motorcycle crashes
RIA JAMADAR, 16, yesterday left the Gasparillo Composite School, which she attends, and headed home oblivious to the fact that her father’s lifeless body was on the road near the said school, after the motorcycle he was riding, crashed into a wall. Death was instant for father of two, Anson Jamadar, of Parforce Road, Gasparillo. He reportedly died around 12.30 pm, after his motorcycle swerved off the Bonne Aventure Main Road and crashed into the concrete wall of a house. His pet squirrel, whom Jamadar named “Mama,” and who was perched on his shoulder, survived the crash. Investigators speculated that Jamadar, may have sustained a broken neck. His pet squirrel was found under the dead man’s helmet.
Oblivious to the fact that her father’s body was lying on the road a stone’s throw away from her school, Ria arrived home only to be told the tragic news of her father’s death. Jamadar’s distraught wife, Yvonne Jamadar, who hurried to the scene when she heard of the accident, was yesterday pondering how to break the tragic news to her ten-year-old son, Brandon, who attends the Bonne Aventure Presbyterian School. With the squirrel “Mama” perched on her shoulder, Agnes told Newsday only three days ago her husband repaired the motorcycle, which had not been working for the past three months. She said her husband owned the motorcycle for the past eight years and even used it to transport their son to school. The crying woman said Jamadar was on his way home when he crashed. She said he had left home to “get gas” and then go to the pet shop. “He wanted to sell the squirrel,” the weeping woman said. Eyewitnesses speculated that the man may have suffered a black out moments before the incident. Gasparillo police are continuing investigations.
