Chadee’s son on arms charge

THE son of executed murderer/drug kingpin Nankissoon Boodram, aka Dole Chadee, was yesterday denied bail when he appeared before a magistrate charged with possession of a firearm.

Shamma Bood-ram, 28, of Pascal Road, Piparo, pleaded not guilty to the charge before Princes Town First Court Magistrate Jai Narine.
Boodram, who told police he was a law student, was arrested near his home on Thursday after the police allegedly found a .38 pistol in his possession. The weapon was not loaded. Boodram was remanded into custody for tracing and the matter was adjourned to Oct-ober 28.
