Go and ruin something else

THE EDITOR: If I were Hubert Alleyne, I would have considered announcing my resignation from the ADB via the media before actually resigning. The politicians deserve no less.

The treatment meted out to him over the Unit Trust mess has been shabby at best. The situation reminds me of Mr Manning’s “firing” of former Foreign Affairs Minister Ralph Maraj — no tact, no protocol, not even common courtesy. There is also the case of Mr Renwick Nickie, where our politicians proved yet again how arrogant, rude and childish they can be. All you’re doing is eroding the public’s trust in the Unit Trust Corporation. Keep going, fellas. Keep taking the “Trust” out of “Unit Trust.” In the meantime, I’ll be taking out the “Units.” This whole affair is a lose-lose situation. Go ruin something else instead — leave the UTC alone.
