Fingerprinting a done deal?

THE EDITOR: I refer to your edition of Friday, October 17 and make the following observations. On page three where Camille Robinson-Regis boldly states that “everybody will be fingerprinted” I wish to say that I am very scared. Does she mean it? Can she do it? Does she have the right? Is there somebody, some lawyer who can verify this?

Looking at her picture and remembering the way she boldly makes pronouncements as if she makes laws as and how she feels like, I get the impression that we have a done deal. Since I saw that article in your newspaper, I already begin to feel like a criminal. It is my opinion that things are being put in place one by one to ensure a dictatorship by the PNM  to effectively block every move  opposition by legitimate political parties, groups or individuals. Our great Prime Minister is waxing stupid so as to throw everyone off the trail and then his minions make announcements that had been simmering behind the scenes. I don’t think I have to spell anything out for you because you only have to refer to your newspapers past editions to see for yourself.

I laughed and laughed at Kevin Baldeosingh’s “Stupor Heroes.” I tried reading it for a member of my family who hadn’t read it and I almost became hysterical so I had to stop. I used to think that with all the happenings in “God’s country,” I may never laugh again, but I did and the hysterics was the bringing out of laughter forgotten. If he continues in same vein I might laugh some more and maybe our sour youths may also learn to laugh, if they can understand the humour, of course.
