Ministry of Education dragging feet

THE EDITOR: Kindly publish this article in your newspaper as I am troubled about a situation which exists at our Ministry of Education.

Approximately eight years ago I applied for a Teaching post in one of our government primary schools. My application was acknowledged stating that I will be informed of an interview for such a position. To date I was never called for an interview. I am still waiting. I know of a few persons who had applied after I did and who have been interviewed and are placed in schools. I assume that many are awaiting in hope as I am. Are we waiting in vain? Many of us are holding jobs we don’t really want as a career. Our love is teaching and would like to serve in this capacity. I believe someone in a position to help us is there. Please tell us if we can be helped and how soon.
