Fire at COSTAATT in Mt Hope
A FIRE broke out at the COSTAATT campus in Mt Hope yesterday. According to reports, the fire headquarters at Wrightson Road in Port-of-Spain received an emergency call which indicated there was a fire on the second floor of Building 9 in the tertiary education institution. Units from Port-of-Spain, San Juan and Tunapuna responded to the call. However, by the time they all arrived, the fire was already distinguished. Reports from the Fire Services are that fire was set to the drapes in the institution. Fire officials have not yet been able to determine who or what started the blaze. Checks with fire officials have revealed that this is the second such fire in the institution for the week. No one was injured and fire officials from the San Juan Fire Station are investigating the incident.
