Man stabs and burns dog
VALENCIA police are looking for a 34-year-old man who is alleged to have set a dog afire, after stabbing it several times. According to sources, the man of New Valencia Settlement, appeared with the dog on a chain yesterday morning cursing and swearing. The man pulled out a knife from his pocket, stabbed the dog in front dozens of residents, then tasted the blood. When residents began pelting, jeering and cursing him, he dragged it along the streets and set a bonfire of papers, wood and leaves and threw the dog into the blaze.
The police responded and the well-known man ran, disappearing in a nearby forested area. Police gave chase but gave up shortly after entering the woody area. When contacted police confirmed that the man was a “problematic person who kept the lives of residents miserable.” WPC Meade and CPL Pacheco visited the scene. Cpl Trevor Pacheco is spearheading inquiries.
