A GASPARILLO truck driver appeared yesterday before a San Fernando Magistrate charged with the murder of a 45-year-old man, who was killed in a vehicular accident earlier this month.

Errol ‘Holiday’ Mohammed, 52, of 71 Caratal Road, Gasparillo appeared before acting Deputy Chief Magistrate Patrick Wellington charged with the murder of John Thomas, of Caratal Road, Gasparillo. The charge was laid by Cpl Griffith of the Homicide Bureau. Mohammed is charged with murdering Thomas, by knocking him down with a truck along Caratal Road, Gasparillo on November 1.

Thomas who was employed with S&N Caterers, was reportedly dragged along the road for some 200 feet by the truck. A nervous-looking Mohammed remained silent as the charge of murder was read out. Mohammed’s attorney Larry Williams asked the court for full disclosure of the case files, witness’ reports and the autopsy report. Relatives of both the accused man and deceased, were  seated in court. Mohammed was later remanded into police custody to reappear in court on November 20.
