Who was Ellis Maingot?

Many knew him as an articulate writer,
Others, a businessman second to none.
Some remember him as a relentless fighter,
As a young Army Captain, not to be outdone.

On all matters, he was a man of principle,
with strong values and unquestionable character.
His wealth of knowledge made him seem invincible,
And served him well as a Managing Director.

He was a simple man, who led a simple life,
He was a Son, a brother, an uncle and a friend,
He was a caring husband to his darling wife
And professed his love to her ‘til the very end.

He was an adoring Father, with one single offspring
Advice was a thing of which he was always endowed,
He had one grandson for whom he would do anything,
And would always talk about how he made him proud.
Although at times outspoken, he was always respected,
Honesty and integrity was something he always engendered
There’s no telling how many lives he truly affected,
He will be missed by all, and forever remembered.
