Sports medicine symposium postponed

A CONCACAF Sports Medicine Symposium seminar, originally scheduled for December 5-6 at the Dr Joao Havelange Centre of Excellence, Macoya, Tunapuna,  has been postponed. This advanced symposium will now be held in March next year on a date to be arranged, in order to facilitate the attendance of senior sports medicine experts. However, the FIFA Doping Control Seminar for CONCACAF Doping Control Officers will go on  as scheduled from December 3-4 at the same venue.

Medical practitioners who may wish to attend this Seminar as observers should contact CONCACAF Dire-ctor of Development Richard Braithwaite, at 1-868-662-9807 or e-mail at techadmin@tstt.net.tt. Dr Rudy Gittens, a member of the FIFA Sports Medical Committee and Chairman of the CONCACAF Sports Medicine Committee will be the principal lecturer at the FIFA Doping Control Seminar. Only on Saturday, CONCACAF/FIFA completed a women football workshop at which English coach Hope Powell and FIFA director of women football Tatjama Haenni were the lecturers.
