Shots fired at security guards transporting cash

Two security guards from Telecom Security who were transporting large amounts of cash in an unmarked vehicle, were shot at in the vicinity of Western Main Road, Cocorite, on Saturday night.

Reports revealed that around 11 pm on Saturday, the two guards were travelling in the unmarked car with the cash, when occupants from another vehicle began firing at them. They returned fire and the gunmen fled the scene. A report was made to the St James Police and PC Straker is investigating.
