4 schoolboys on assault charge
FOUR male teenaged students, one from Arima Senior Comprehensive, one from Curepe Junior Secondary, one from YTEPP and another from an unnamed school, are to appear before a Tunapuna magistrate today charged with assault of a security officer, using obscene language and being found on enclosed premises.
According to reports, at around 3.30 pm a security officer at the Curepe Junior Secondary School responded to a report of a fight on the school ground, when he held a 16-year-old ASCC student and a 14-year-old CJSS student. Assisted by another officer, they held two other youths, 15-year-olds, who are not students of the school. One of the teens is reportedly from YTEPP and the other is from an unnamed school. While they were being led away, the teens began cursing and hitting the guards. They were eventually subdued and handed over to the St Joseph police.
