Malabar man held for 2002 murder
A Malabar man is currently awaiting the directions from the Director of Public Prosecution as to whether he should be charged for the murder of former Malabar resident Andre Sutton. Sutton was gunned down on Christmas Eve, 2002, at his Newton Boulevard, Malabar home. Since then police had been conducting investigations. Three weeks ago following a tip-off, police held a 27-year-old Malabar man who had returned to Trinidad from England after a three-month vacation. The man was released but was again held on Thursday following new developments. Cpl Parks is continuing inquiries.
