Central Bank denies having counterfeit notes

Central Bank (CB) yesterday denied having counterfeit notes in its possession. A release from CB stated: The Central Bank only receives cash from local banks or from the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, and as such  the statement that “The money turned up during the afternoon period in the Central Bank when officials were checking the deposits from a central firm,” is therefore inaccurate.
