You must pray with confidence

THE EDITOR: When you pray, do you pray with confidence that your desire will be fulfilled, or is your mind filled with doubt? You know, whatever we expect tends to be realised. In other words, if we think success, we will achieve our goal. If we feel doubt and negativity, then most certainly, we will fail. Faith is not something that you can see or touch, but certainly something that you can feel. It is a prerequisite for a great life! But let’s be practical. In these times it’s challenging to be very positive and possess steadfast faith. The economical, political, social and spiritual environment is in turmoil. But there is great news; no matter the state of your environment, you have the control of your reaction to it. Don’t let the beetles get you down.

Ironically, it takes a “disaster” to instill steadfast faith almost immediately. A few years ago, I remember fretting over minor issues, and questioning the goodness of God. However, at the same time, one of my relatives became seriously ill, close to death. This immediately changed my perspective. Immediately I sought refuge in God and prayed with 100 percent confidence for the recovery of my loved one. The minor issues were no longer present in my mind. I now had a bigger and more meaningful purpose: the survival of my relative. I decided at that time that only God could help me, and I developed the steadfast faith that He will answer my prayer. I can say today that He did. All it took was my utmost belief and faith in Him and He delivered.

My message? Pray with the confidence that whatever good you ask for, will be handed out to you. Bear in mind sometimes that we ourselves may not know what is best for us, but trust in God that you will succeed in having a great life. Just have full faith in the supreme and believe me, your dreams will manifest. Sometimes we worry about trivial matters, when there is so much good present in our lives. Do not wait for a disaster to occur to cherish what you have. God bless.
