Two more records at ASATT meet
KIMBERLY John-Williams and Samantha Rahael each set national long course marks on Saturday night as the Amateur Swimming Association of Trinidad and Tobago (ASATT) Invitational Swim Meet continued at the Marlins Swimming Pool, Westmoorings. John-Williams, representing Piranha Aquatics Swim Club, touched the wall in a time of 35.48 seconds in the girls eight-and-under 50-metre butterfly, erasing the previous standard of 36.30 set by Chloe McMillan in the 2000 competition. Silver medal went to Cardesha Lyons, who was timed in 40.09 seconds and bronze to another unattached swimmer Khadija Thornhill 41.75. Earlier on the night, John-Williams captured gold in the 100m freestyle in one minute 12:50 seconds, ahead of Lyons (1:19.73) and Thornhill (1:20.39).
