Match for Daaga tonight

St Mary’s College (CIC) 2002 “Basketballer of the Year,” Makandal Daaga has received a full four year scholarship from Lindenwood University, St Charles, Missouri. The CIC captain and Republic Arrows basketballer returned to Trinidad on Monday in time for the “Makandal P Daaga Benefit Match” which will be played tonight at the St Paul’s Street Sport Facility in port-of-Spain. The School Basketball Association, National Basketball Federation of Trinidad and Tobago, the Sports Division of the Ministry of Education, the national team, Athletes for Higher Education, Republic Bank Arrows and CIC will be represented at the match in aid of the players’ accommodation while studying in the US.
