Why no women in QPCC?

THE EDITOR: I find it ironical and perhaps sometimes laughable, how members of a club called the Queen’s Park Cricket Club should be so supercilious and bold to disallow women into their so-called prestigious club.

The Queen is a lady ...right? Where in their constitution does it state that the Queen’s Park Cricket Club is a “Men’s only cricket club”?
There are the UK “Women’s Club” and the “American’s Women’s Club” but who gave the authority that the Queen’s Park Cricket Club is a men’s club? By the way, do they know the position of a queen in a game of chess? I think that they need to get out of their old colonial and archaic ways and if they do decide that women should be allowed into their membership that we women would genuflect before them when we see them and say thank you very much for affording us this wonderful gift.
