Basketball Federation look for four national coaches

The National Basketball Federation have invited all qualified coaches to submit applications for the positions of head coach of their men’s and women’s national teams, at the senior, junior  and Under-20 levels.

The four positions are open to all suitably qualified persons and all applications must include a short biography, curriculum vitae, one reference and an outline for the relevant team’s preparation. Team preparation plans should include: national player screening sessions, pre-season training sessions for the period February-April, 2004, in-season training April-June, and pre-competition training June-July. Plans should also accommodate the infusion of foreign-based players from May 2004. Applications should also include a short list of candidates for assistant coaches. Remuneration packages will be discussed during the interview phase.

The NBFTT will also like to take this opportunity to extend the warmest season’s greetings to all the fans and supporters of the sport of basketball at all levels, and to the players, past and present. The media personnel and benefactors who have helped them in their efforts to reinstate the game into the hearts and minds of Trinbagonians were also wished a Merry Christmas and a bright and prosperous New Year. All applications must be sent in writing to: National Basketball Coach, National Basketball Federation T&T, c/o St Paul’s Street Multi-purpose Sporting Facility, Port of Spain, Trinidad. They should be received no later than January 12, 2004 and the appointments will be for the period February to December 2004.
