Thank you, Mr Mayor

THE EDITOR: I must say that I felt a sense of satisfaction as a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago when I listened to the Mayor of Port-of-Spain on the TV6 morning programme this past Monday December 22, 2003. The Mayor of Port-of-Spain explained his position in a way that I could easily understand. I now understand why he wants order returned to our city. I especially liked that point made by him, that the city must be for the enjoyment of all citizens. I had never thought of this before. The policies which the Mayor advocates would probably help the country to solve some of its problems. I would like to thank the Mayor for his efforts and his explanation and hope that other leaders will have the same strength of character, so that all of our citizens will enjoy not only our city, but also our country.
