Balance the scales of justice
THE EDITOR: I have a matter at hand that I need you to do justice to via your newspaper. I have an uncle who has President’s Pleasure at the St Ann’s hospital. No Mr Editor, he is not mad, but he made a mistake in judgement and could not remember the deed so he was sent there. As far as I can recall in these past five years he has never been on any kind of prescribed drug in there except some antibiotics.
He is alert and attentive, very helpful and respectful. I’ve always known him this way, and when I or other members of his family visit, we are told this also. But he is still there behind a steel gate. Mr Martin Joseph has the power behind the throne (so to speak) to get my uncle released. He had a number of prisoners who have committed heinous crimes released, why can’t my uncle be released also? He was a person looked up to and highly respected in his home and community, at least that should be able to hopefully move the hands of justice. Please let him be able to spend at least the Easter season home with his wife, children and family. If it is that Mr Martin Joseph can’t do the job then at least he can recommend. Don’t let the scales of justice be unbalanced kind Sir — today for my uncle tomorrow may be for you or someone near and dear.
