Bermudez bake CCC in ASNL

JULIE BRITTO was in dominating form as Bermudez walloped Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) 42-33 in their All Secors Netball League Alternative X Division match. Britto fired in 29 goals from 36 attempts, while Cheryl Ann Warner had 13 from 21 for the “Biscuit Girls”, while Monica Gittens scored 17 of 32 and Felissa Roberts had 16 of 27 for CCC in Tuesday’s game at the Jean Pierre Sports Complex. Melissa Snaggs shot 30 goals from 41 attempts to lead Fire to a thrilling 34-32 victory over Cavaliers in the other game in the same division. Chrysalene Murrell got the other four goals for the Flames, while Erica Jolie 20 of 26 attempts and Michelle Boyce scored 12 goals from 18 attempts for the Cavaliers. Fire led 7-6 at the end of the first quarter and kept their lead 17-10 at the half-time interval. But Cavaliers outscored their rivals 15-7 to take a 25-24 lead at the end of the third period, before Fire put on the clamps and on to victory.
