Carapichaima Under-17s kick-off weekend
The third annual Carapichaima Under-17 Football Supa League begins on Saturday at the St Mary’s and Roopsingh Road Recreation Grounds. Action in Group “A” and “B” continues on Sunday. Group “A” sees St Mary’s FC and RSSR beginning their respective campaigns at 4.15 pm. At the same time on the Roopsingh Road Recreation ground Group “B” begins with knock-out runners up Cap Off Youths playing Cruz International. On Sunday, last year’s League winners W Connection play Knock-out champs Superstar Rangers’ Under-15 outfit at 4.15 pm. Phase IV Nationals play Southern Football Association champs Point Fortin Civic Centre in the earlier fixture at 2.15 pm. Both matches complete the Group “A” itinerary for the weekend.
Superstar Rangers play the La Romain Lions at 2.15pm followed by Gasparillo Youths playing St James Jets at 4.15pm in Sunday’s Group “B” fixtures. Rangers were second in the 2003 League Competition with Black Box FC in third and Cap Off Youths in fourth position. The competition is carded for the weekends and will continue until March 23 with 13 teams from the north, south and central competing for the TTFF League and the B&G General Contractors knock-out challenge trophies. The teams from the north are Superstar Rangers, RSSR, St James Jets, Trendsetter Hawks (Fire Services) and Cruz International; from central are W Connection, St Mary’s FC, Phase IV Nationals, Presto Praesto Youth Camp and Cap Off Youths; Gasparillo Youths, La Romain Lions and Point Fortin Civic Centre are all up for honours from the south.
