Davidson’s team wins bpTT Pro-Am golf

The team of professional Bruce Davidson and amateur players Michael Scott, Orman Mendes and Hamish Herrera finished on 18 under par to win the Members Only Pro-Am on the first day of the bpTT Charity Pro Am at the St Andrew’s Golf Club, Moka. Second were Tommy Wolfen Berger, Hayden Imam, Haroon Joseph and Farouk Bhopa on 16 under par. The Pro Am is in aid of the National AIDS Co-ordinating Committee’s efforts to combat the spread of the deadly virus in Trinidad and Tobago and began on Monday showcasing the talents of local and international golfers.

Steve Forde led Chris Galt, Nicholas Mouttet and Richard Trestrail to a final score of 16 under par good enough for third place. Emil Hale and amateurs Roger Weekes, Louis Ottley and Tyrone Leong ended in third on 15 under par. Fraser Mann with amateurs Roger Henderson, Michael and Sean Herrera finished fifth on 14 under par. The Pro Am week continues until tomorrow and features the same unique mix of local and international talent from the first day of competition.
