Amateur boxers in ring tonight

NIGEL EDWARDS of Mandingo and Tigers’ Glenroy Anderson will meet in the last fight tonight as the National Boxing Championship begin. First punch will be thrown at 8 o’clock at the Cosmic Boxing Gym, Marabella. The Edwards-Anderson fight is one of three light heavyweight (166-178 pounds) contests on the agenda, with Richard Straker of Sand City meeting Denzil Salazar of Tigers and Timothy McLeod of Biomel facing off against Sand City’s Jarvis Mark. Action continues tomorrow at Marabella from 8 pm while the tournament concludes on Saturday at the NUGFW Hall, Henry Street, Port of Spain.
