Paramount team wins Texas Scramble

The Paramount Transport and Trading Company limited sponsored team of professional Jaxon Brigman and amateurs Asgar Ali, Ramesh Rampersad and Martin Haynes have taken the Texas Scramble leg of the bpTT Charity Pro Am 2004.

This they did with a final score of 20.75 under par on Wednesday. In close second pro Lee Vannet, sponsored by bpTT Cassia and amateurs Peter Watson, John Morrison and Walter Jardine were edged out of the top spot as they ended on 20 under par. The Caribbean Insulation Serv-ices sponsored pro John Gibson and amateurs Tommy Johnson, John Holley and Raymond Roberts snuck into third on 19.75 under par. They were  ahead of the teams led by Johnny Bloomfield and P Lutchmansingh who both ended on 19 under par.

Sponsored by Aims International Incorporation, Bloomfield and amateurs Troy McGinty, Harry Stauble and Pat O’Conner finished fourth. Next were the Cameron Procom No 2 sponsored team of Lutchmans-ingh, Pablo Lyon, Tommy Laughlin and Robert Grell who rounded of the top flight in fifth position. Yesterday was the final day of competition in the Pro Am which is a three-year partnership with the National AIDS Co-ordinating Committee (NACC) to raise $1million to battle the epidemic.
