Rain knocks out NGC/Express schools b-ball
GAMES in the North Zone of the NGC/Express Schools Basketball League had to be postponed because of inclement weather in the Port-of-Spain area on Tuesday. St Mary’s were carded to play Trinity at the former’s court on Frederick Street, while International School of Port-of-Spain’s Under-15s were supposed to take on Diego Martin Junior Secondary at the same venue.
Both games will be rescheduled, while action in the North Zone continues at the St Paul Street Multi-Purpose Facility today and Sunday, beginning at 2 pm both days. Organisers are in the process of revising fixtures to continue the smooth running of the 2004 North Zone season. Action in the East Zone begins today at the Eastern Regional Indoor Sport Facility with Under-17 champs St Augustine Comprehensive playing Barataria Senior Comprehensive and Under-20 teams Arima Government Secondary squaring off against debutantes Valencia High School.
