Man brain dead after beating

Three men are currently assisting Scarborough police with their investigations into a beating incident in which the victim had to be transferred to the Port-of- Spain General Hospital in critical condition.

The three men, from Glen Road, Scarborough, were detained for questioning Thursday evening. The incident is alleged to have occurred late Sunday night. Horace Bobb, brother of late calypsonian Lady B, was found unconscious Monday morning by the wife of one of the suspects. The men, said to be between the ages of 30 to 40, are detained at the Scarborough and Crown Point Police Stations. It is alleged that one of the suspects has confessed to beating Bobb and is expected to be charged in connection with the incident. If charged, the men will appear in the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Meanwhile, officers have described the situation as “not very good” for the suspects as Bobb is said to be “brain dead” and is on life support equipment at the hospital.
