Caricom scholars urged to ‘give back’

FIVE Caricom nationals who were recently awarded scholarships through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and regional development agencies, have been encouraged to use their knowledge to support regional development. The scholarships have been awarded in Finance Law, Banking, Business, and Economics.

USAID’s manager of the programme, Mansfield Blackwood, issued the call at a farewell function hosted by organisers of the scholarships, the Caribbean Regional Intern-Scholarship Programme (CRISP), a USAID project to aid economic development in the region. Scholarship recipients Idris Fidela Clarke and Tehara Clarke of St Kitts and Nevis Sylvia Eugene of St Lucia, Jonathon Fox of Barbados, and Verlyn Faustin of Antigua will pursue post-graduate studies at United States universities.
